What I did today was I had started
looking for some music. I had looked for music on YouTube. I found it quite
difficult to find music because all the music was different from the rest. So
when opening one video to listen to the music all the music was different
so it quite hard to find the music to fir the category which is cheerleading,
but the cheerleading music had to be good and cheerful for young people to
listen to and it could not include any use of bad language. After looking for
the music I had found a cheerleading mix that was suitable for young people so
I was able to use it.
I had then saved the music to my
desk top and to iTunes so I was able to have it saved. After this point I had
opened reaper which made me edit music or take sound off the music or add
beats/ sound affects to come together and make a final piece. So when opening
reaper is was able to drag the music on to reaper and start to crop certain parts
of the music out and then I had added more music to it. First I had dragged in
the slow/sad music because at the beginning of my advert it just gives an intro
of how she is not wanted... then I had made parts that went silent because that
would be the parts where people I would use for my advert would speak. Then I
had added the eight counts that cheerleaders do 1, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8. Then this is
when the music got lively.
At this point I had started to add
the music mix which based on cheerleading this is because it would make it
clear to the audience that it is a cheerleading film. So it was just a good mix
that was suitable for young people and it was really cheerful. The cheer music
(mix) was really long so I had to cut down the music a lot because it cannot be
too long. Then I had to make some more quiet parts where the people would speak
this is because people would need to hear them talking.
At first I did find it really difficult
to crop and take parts out of the music because I was still learning how to use
it. Even though I had done a practise in lessons before in a group we all did
little parts to all take part but when doing it by myself I found it difficult because
of all the cropping mostly and trying to mute certain parts which I wanted to
be muted but then i had found out how to do it and at that point I was able to
get through it.
What I could do to improve is I
need to maybe experiment using reaper before stressing because it was not that
hard to just look on the side and find the buttons. Also what I could do to
improve is read more through my script so then that way I would be able to have
a better idea where the music should be and where it shouldn’t.
